The work that comes back
Recurring servicing is the most predictable revenue a workshop has. It should be a list you work through, not a memory.
Service, registration and inspection intervalsDue and overdue computed on readSMS and email remindersExactly once dispatchOpt out honoured
Due is computed, not stored
- Intervals are held per vehicle, so a car can carry a service interval, a registration date and a next inspection at once.
- Due, due soon and overdue are calculated against today's date when the screen loads, so the list cannot go stale.
- Completing a service rolls the next due date forward from the date serviced and updates the odometer.
Reminders that send themselves
- Reminder messages are queued to the outbox and dispatched by a worker, with one message per vehicle per due date, proven exactly once.
- SMS and email are both supported, and an opt out is honoured on every send.
- Quiet hours are respected, so a reminder never lands at ten at night.
What it replaces
A reminder book at the counter and good intentions.
